Luxury vessels are often better equipped than the average home. Advanced solutions ensure passenger comfort from rough seas, structure borne noise and vibration from engine machinery. Decidamp® is the complete range designed to reduce waveslap and noise transmitted by vibration.

Large scale commercial passenger liners need to consider comfort of crew and guests. Refurbishment, maintenance and other considerations affect product selection for acoustic and thermal insulation. Pyrotek offer various solutions to structure borne noise and vibration damping requirements for large scale vessels such as Decidamp® SP150 and Decidamp® SLC. Use Quadzero™ dBX in engine rooms or as part of structural fire protection systems on board.  

Heavy workboats can make life at see a chore, so addressing some of the noise issues is worthwhile to protect vessels from structural fatigue and control some of the noise from a range of sources. Existing machinery enclosures can be treated with Sorberbarrier to reduce the transmission of noise to other areas of the boat, and to absorb reflected noise within the enclosure. Decidamp® products reduce vibration or "ringing" of metal panels or structures, such as fuel tanks, bow thrusters, propeller tunnels and machinery casing.

Quadzero™ dBX is a high performance noise control product that exhibits superior transmission loss performance. It features a flexible, mass-loaded, noise barrier, laminated with an aluminium foil-covered glass-cloth facing, (AGC). It was developed to meet market requirements in marine, rail, domestic, commercial, industrial and automotive industries.

Decidamp® CLD is a constrained layer, visco-elastic damping material, designed to reduce structural vibration and sound transmission within light gauge materials. Decidamp® CLD was developed to meet market noise reduction requirements across automotive, marine, industrial and OEM markets.

Developed with a special polymer technology, Decidamp® SP150 is a lightweight, non-toxic structural damping material that is suitable for exterior and interior use and anywhere that noise can impact structure, comfort and function.

Pyrotek offers a variety of pressure sensitive adhesives to complement your insulation project, including premium IMO-certified pressure sensitive thermal insulation adhesive tapes. Using an easy ‘peel and stick’ method, these products adhere to a variety of substrates when applied with pressure. Tape GC120 Marine (glass cloth backing), specifically designed for marine applications, and Tape AGC (aluminium-glass cloth backing) are combined with a high performance solvent acrylic adhesive, protected by an easy-release silicone release paper.
